A FORTY - FORTY ANNIVERSARY!

On September 12th, Marty Orenstein, CEO of Funding Fanatics, celebrated his 40th Anniversary in the Staffing Industry. Funding Fanatics, Marty's most recent endeavor in the staffing industry, is also celebrating an anniversary—the signing of its 40th funding contract by one of its referrals.

Marty started in the late sixties as back office Manager of Office Temporaries, a large east coast Temp Service. His payroll department consisted of seven people who, with the aid of calculations performed on "comptometers", produced 1,500 payroll checks per week. Office Temporaries was a pioneer in the staffing industry, and while there, Marty was appointed to a committee that educated corporations on the concept of utilizing temporary workers as part of a cost saving flexible staffing program. He was also part of a team that introduced the idea of "Payroll Transfer" to the temp staffing menu, starting with the NYC banking community.
   
After seven years, Marty realized that he preferred the sales and marketing aspects of the industry. He and a partner started Good People Personnel, conducting business in NY, NJ and CT. As pioneers in niche marketing, they formed specialized operating sectors such as a seniors division, word processing, medical office support and convention personnel divisions.
 
Sixteen years after growing Good People into a substantial mid-sized temporary staffing service, Marty sold his interest to his partner, and was recruited to head the funding division of a national staffing company. After several years of growing their funding division exponentially, Marty was promoted to the position of Worldwide Director. Thirteen years later, the funding division was one of the largest staffing industry-specific financing sources.
   
At that juncture, Marty and the national company parted ways. This opened the way for Marty's latest endeavor, a company he founded three and a half years ago called Funding Fanatics.
